Nana and Papa had a special dinner tonight with some of their good friends. I helped Nana by making a little vase of flowers, using the flowers from her yard, because I love flowers and I like to be crafty :) So here it is, look how lovely! :D
Definitely the highlight of my day was getting another email from David.... and it had pictures!!! :) He had his first baptism on Saturday, and he was so excited for Maia. I'm so proud of him, he is doing such a great job!
David and another Elder enjoying Burger King in Bolivia... Somehow, that doesn't seem like very authentic food for the area....

Went to church with Nana and Papa today. That was fun :) Then I got a job today!! I will be working part-time (nights and weekends) at the Gap at Fashion Place Mall :D yay! Now I just need to find a full-time day CNA job! :P Cause thanks to Dad, I realized I am flat-out BROKE. I have only the $20 in my wallet remaining from my April budget, which I will need to use for gas for The General in the next couple days. Desperately searching for another job... or two.... or five...
Oh yeah, here is my candy-stash. My grandparents eat super healthy, so I used the extra money from my meal plan at BYU to buy some junk food to keep around. Don't let Papa see this, though. It will be gone before I know it, if he finds out about it!! SHHH!!

Papa and I took Chase and his family shooting today! It was super fun :) (except for the fact that I did really bad today :P Guess that means I need to go more often!!) This is me shooting a Competition .22 handgun
Then, I went with Chase's family to the BYU Men's Volleyball Game down in Provo! So fun :) We met up with some friends still in Provo and hung out with them for a bit before we went home.

I went to my new temple with Nana and Papa today! :) It's the Jordan River Temple. And it was a GORGEOUS day! Oh my goodness, it's such a pretty temple with a stunning view of the mountains :)
And, of course.... FLOWERS :)

I leave today! How sad :( This is goodbye to a huge group. I will miss everyone I have met this year at BYU. It has been an amazing 10 months, and I can't wait to come back in the Fall!! But... we all must part and head our separate ways. Mine is north to live with my grandparents in Holladay. Here is all my stuff in my new room! :)

It's the day before I move out, and my room is even lovlier than yesterday!! (Dad, I know what your thinking- "Wow, Hayley! It looks like there was a tornado in your room!" Yes, it is messy... organized chaos)
A huge group of us went to Laser Tag- that was super fun! Then we went to Yogurtland and loitered in the parking lot for a while. Then, at 1 in the morning, we went ice-blocking at a big hill right near the temple. Oh yes. It was an AWESOME night :)

I started packing today. Look how lovely my room looks! :)
Oh, and at 1am, I got a call from Chase- he invited me to help the guys with a prank.
A big group of us went down to the duck pond south of campus, and tried to drug some ducks by feeding them bread soaked in Niquil. Then, the guys were going to put the duck in the other guys hall's restroom. The ducks ate the Niquil-soaked bread! (which surprises me, because Niquil tastes NASTY. I mean, I love that stuff to death, but I would never just drink it for fun). But they were in the pond, and we didn't quite have the patience to wait til they fell asleep to grab one. We waited an hour and left.
But THEN, instead, the guys took down the stalls between the toilets in the guys restroom. Awkward...
So... I absolutely love the girls in my hall. They are all so wonderful, beautiful, smart, and amazing, and I've loved getting to know every single one of them! I will really miss them when we all split up, but I hope at least some of us can still keep in touch. I feel so blessed to have met every single one of them and love them all so much!! :)

Yay for Ward Parties!! :D
(Me, Aspen, Lauren, Kelsi, Maggie, Jessica)
(Jake, McKay, Me, Dallen, Chase, Jesse, B-Quigz, John)
I really have been lucky to be in the best ward!! Provo YSA 111th! I have absolutely loved my time here, and will be sad to leave this amazing group of people. But we are all off to do amazing things in life :)

Happy Easter!! :)
It was such a gorgeous day outside that Aspen, Jessica, Lauren, Amanda and I decided to sit outside for a good portion of the afternoon and get a tan in preparation for summer.
Aspen gave Jessica a ride on her shoulders, to which I later saw the most graceful dismount ever! (aka- it was really not very graceful. Jessica wobbled back and forth as Aspen lowered her to the ground, and ultimately, Jessica fell backwards, rolled off Aspen's back and fell on her butt. Amanda and I were laughing so hard! I may have almost peed my pants...)
Then, a group of people from the Ward were hanging out over yonder, so we went and threw around a frisbee with some of the guys. Then, I ate my leftover Brick Oven pizza while I chatted with David Bull from Vista, and then called the fam! :)

After the meet, I went to dinner at the Brick Oven with Nana, Papa, Fern, and Aunt Bonnie. They were in town for the Ballroom concert. So fun! And then I went on a great date with Gavin to the bowling alley for a bit. :)

And after Ward Prayer, Chase and I went to go see Mission Impossible 4. I loved it.
...oh, and it also had a Bugatti Veyron in it. Yes.

Wednesday tends to be an exciting day in the freshman dorms, because that's usually the day that the guys get their mission calls! Today, there were 3!
The first one was Chase Lewis (in the grey shirt). He got called to serve in the Sydney, Australia Mission, speaking Mandarin Chinese!
This one here is Scott Clawson. He got called to serve in the Korea Seoul Mission!
And this last one, I couldn't make it to, so this picture was taken a couple days later. But this is one of my favoritest people! We have been buddies since the summer, and I love it when I get to see him! But he got called today to the Honduras Comayaguela Mission, speaking Spanish!
I am so proud of these (and MANY other) guys out there serving missions!! It is a huge sacrifice to commit 2 years to the Lord, but it is a huge learning experience and blessing. They are going all over the world to learn the language and teach the people of God, and the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I can't wait to serve my own mission!!
And, since we're on the subject, here are some missionaries I know and love who are already serving :)
This is Elder Tanner Johns! We met over the summer :) He was called to serve in the Tampico Mexico Mission, Spanish speaking. He left this past December and is doing great! He actually served for a few weeks in the Nashville Tennesee Mission, Spanish speaking, after he got out of the MTC cause he was waiting for his Visa. But he got it all taken care of last week, and is now serving in Mexico! I can't wait to hear back from him :)
This is Elder Dean Patten. Also probably one of my favoritest people- I absolutely adore him! He serves in the Russia Novosibirsk Mission, and has been since the end of September. He is doing wonderfully! I really look forward to my letters from him, but it takes a couple months to get letters back and forth in Russia! He is freezing, but his humorous and optimistic personality is definitely serving him very well :)
And last but not least, my favorite missionary (if I'm allowed to have favorites :P) is the guy on the right, my very best friend, Elder David Bell! He is serving in the Bolivia Cochabamba mission, Spanish speaking. He left the end of this past December. I am so proud of him- he is doing an amazing job, and is absolutely loving every single minute of his experience, whether good or bad :) I love getting his letters too!
These young men are so amazing, I am so proud of them, and lucky to know them! They are 19, and leaving everything behind (family, friends, relationships, school, work, etc) to go out and serve the Lord for two years. They are called by God to go to a mission, almost anywhere around the world! They go to an MTC (Missionary Training Center) for a certain amount of time, then are sent to their mission to serve the people and immerse themselves in the culture, and work of the Lord. They are bringing people to Christ. It truly is an incredible opportunity, and I support everyone who chooses to go on a mission.
